No, Mr. President, you are not protecting women, you are authorizing the destruction of five-hundred thousand little women every year. No, Mr. President, you are not protecting reproductive freedom, you are authorizing the destruction of freedom for one million little human beings every year. No, Mr. President, killing our children is killing our children no matter how many times you say it is a private family matter. You may say that it is a private family matter over and over and over and still they are dead! And we killed them, and you would have it remain legal!

I cannot say that abortion is black and white, but I can say that killing a person is wrong…and a baby in the womb is a person. Abortion is never right— regardless of the circumstances.

”Young People Make Up About 30% Of The World’s Population, But 100% Of Our Future”

Today, my friend amazing friend, David, said this while he was delivering a speech to my high school. 

Wow. While this rings SO true, I had never heard this idea put into such captivating and convicting words before.

Young people TRULY do make up 100% of the FUTURE. Noone can debate that fact.

This leads to a question:

What can we do with this information?

I believe the answer is simple:

If we can truly be selfless, we are completely capable of changing the world in incredible ways. We could bring about the end to injustices like sex-trafficking, wars fought by child soldiers, poverty, and hunger if we really wanted to. WE COULD. THIS IS TRUTH. 

Now, the next question is:

Are willing to abandon the sinful ways of our elders and our selfish desires to change the world in big ways?

The next question is not whether this is possible or not, because it is. The question we must instead ask ourselves is whether we are willing to bring about such change.

Now, I must add one more thing:

Humans are sinful, and we always will be. There will always be fighting, stealing, gossip, sexual affairs, you name it…However, we seriously have the ability to end huge problems in our world. 

I think it is time that we, the young people, stand up. We will not be young forever. Our time is coming. Will it be a time of peace, love, and selflessness or a time of war, hatred, and selfishness? 

LET’S DARE TO BE DIFFERENT FROM THOSE WHO HAVE COME BEFORE US.

People are beautiful. God made us that way, but we have sinned against Him and defiled ourselves. Only His grace can change us— give us “servants’ hearts”. Only His grace can save us from eternal death and give us life.
